Hey friends,
That week vanished faster than my NHL playing career. Wow!
As always, my goal is to give you a weekly edge. Why? Because I want you all to win!
Let's dive in:

1. Google Won This Week—Gemini 2.0 Flash

If your business touches visual content, this changes everything. Google dropped Gemini 2.0 and it's absolutely ridiculous. I did a quick test (trust me... watch this) https://www.loom.com/share/22692e7a18784deeb18a65d057d5ce49?sid=6b6c383c-0300-4a69-a823-6730e17e3dc3
2. OpenAI's Agent Platform: First Mover Advantage Is Up for Grabs
OpenAI just released their agent platform, and it's not about futuristic promises—it's about real capabilities available now:
  • Web Search: AI that searches with 90% accuracy and cites sources
  • File Search: Organizes and searches your documents intelligently
  • Computer Use: Controls actual computer functions inside apps
People are already experimenting with these capabilities, building prototypes in days that would've taken months before. The agents are still in the early stages now but are improving weekly.
The real opportunity isn't in mastering every new tool (that's a time sink), but in understanding: "What could this do for my business once it matures?" The first movers won't be the ones who build the agents—they'll be the businesses that strategically deploy them first.
Ask yourself: What tasks in your business are repetitive enough to automate but complex enough that you couldn't automate them before? That's your opportunity zone.
3. Anthropic Just Loaded Up ($3.5B)
Anthropic (Claude's maker) raised $3.5B at a $61.5B valuation. They're positioning as the "safe AI" alternative to OpenAI, which means more competition and better tools for all of us.
4. Manus AI is actually insane
Last week, I told you about Manus AI. The hype is real. Access codes are selling for thousands and I have yet to get my hands on it.
From what I've seen, this isn't just another chatbot/agent. It independently reasons, plans, and executes. I watched someone build an entire SaaS application without writing code. Not "generate the code"—actually BUILD the product.
As I mentioned, the businesses that figure out how to deploy these agents first will have an unfair advantage. They'll essentially be operating with a workforce that never sleeps, never gets tired, and improves constantly. The ROI potential isn't just high—it's astronomical.

2 PROMPTS FOR YOU TO TRYTip #1: The 15-Minute Task Sorter

Try this:
  1. Dump your entire to-do list into Claude/ChatGPT
  1. Copy+paste this exact prompt: "Analyze these tasks and categorize: (1) AI can do this entirely, (2) AI can assist me, (3) I should delegate this, (4) Only I can do this. Explain your reasoning for each."
  1. Automate category 1 with tools like CrewAI or n8n, use AI assistance for category 2, delegate category 3, and focus solely on category 4
Let the machines handle your busy work while you focus on what actually moves the needle.
Tip #2: Stop Asking AI to "Write X" — Use This Framework Instead
AI sucks at reading your mind but excels at filling in blanks. Use this template for ANYTHING you need written:
The last line is the secret weapon. I've tested this against generic prompts and it consistently produces 3-4x better output. The magic is in the constraints.

COOL TOOLS I FOUND THIS WEEK

1. EddieAI is a video editor AI for people who actually edit video. Is this the ChatGPT for video editing? Not sure, but I'll be testing it out.
2. Crunchbase (new) now forecasts private companies' futures beyond just tracking funding, acquisitions, and leadership teams. You can identify opportunities before your competitors do.
3. Currents AI Real-time social media analysis that shows what's bubbling up before it hits mainstream. This tool breaks down audience sentiment and emerging conversations that haven't hit critical mass yet.

THE IDEA FACTORY: HOW I'M HUNTING FOR MY NEXT $500K BUSINESS

I've spent this week in what I call "The Idea Factory" — using specialized tools to spot market gaps hiding in plain sight. Here's my exact process:
The tools I'm using:
For trend spotting:
  • Ahrefs (paid, but the gold standard for keyword research)
For Reddit mining:
For eCommerce hunters:
  • ERank (free tier, Etsy product research)
Quick example: Using this system, I randomly found that reptile terrarium supplies are doing 6-figures monthly. There's an entire community (r/jarrariums with 138K members) building miniature ecosystems in jars and paying premium prices for specialty supplies.
The internet is a goldmine, but most people are digging with their hands. These tools are industrial-grade excavators.
I'm finding opportunities everywhere I look. The barrier to entry isn't ideas—it's having the right detection system.
I have a few meetings this week with some of you to discuss and hear your ideas and get your feedback. I've identified about seven good opportunities, and by the end of next week, I'll try to pick one that I'm going to go after.
In the meantime, what I did this week is actually build out a simple digital tool that I plan on trying to sell. I used $75 out of my $1,000 budget to see if I could spin up something quickly and amplify my runway to start this next business. I'll think of it as a startup accelerator.
If you're interested in any of the ideas I have so far, reach out to me and I'll share the Google document with you.
Let's win this week!
Mike
P.S. One of our own in this email crew just sold a piece of his business for 8-figures last week. I love seeing my friends win! The best part? He called me 20 minutes after the wire hit to brainstorm new ideas. It just goes to show the fun is in the journey. Winners win
