Hey!
If you’re getting this email, it means two things:
- We’re good friends.
- You’re someone I genuinely want to see win and I want to help you however I can.
As I shared with you earlier, I’m starting something new. Once a week, I’ll send you the most valuable things I discover. Think of this as your personal radar for what’s actually worth your attention. Small group, zero fluff, just pure value.
Why am I doing this? Because if I can help my friends – good things always come back around.
OK, enough wasting time… I have two tools to share with you this week that can help you!
1. Check out Google’s Deep Research
You’ve all heard of Chat GPT. Some of you have heard about Claude, Groq, and Perplexity (if not, I’ll cover those later). But today I want to share a tool that just came out that’s flying under the radar – Deep Research by Google Gemini.
At its core, Deep Research is like having a brilliant research assistant who never sleeps. Whether you’re exploring market trends, analyzing competitors, or validating business ideas, it can do in minutes what would typically take a team days or weeks.
What makes it special is that it doesn’t just search – it thinks. It creates a research plan, shows it to you for feedback, then dives deep into dozens of sources to build a comprehensive analysis. And unlike other AI tools that just scratch the surface, Deep Research actually understands context and nuance, delivering insights you can actually use to make decisions.
Here’s why I think it can help you:
- It can analyze 50+ websites simultaneously
- Shows you its research plan BEFORE executing (unlike other AI tools that are black boxes)
- Creates comprehensive reports with proper citations
- Currently free for the first month, then $20/month with Gemini Advanced
Here’s how to maximize it:
1. Start with scope – Frame your research question clearly
2. Review the research plan it generates
3. Refine the approach (this is where 90% of people mess up)
4. Watch it generate what would typically take an analyst team days
Here are some Gemini Deep Research Prompts to get you started:
- Market Analysis:
- Prompt: “Analyze the market for [product/service] in [specific geographic area]. Include trends, competition, consumer behavior, and potential market gaps.”
- Competitor Analysis:
- Prompt: “Provide a detailed comparison of [Your Company] versus [Competitors] focusing on product offerings, pricing, market share, customer feedback, and strategic initiatives.”
- Business Model Validation:
- Prompt: “Evaluate the feasibility of a subscription-based model for [your business concept]. Look into similar models in the industry, user retention rates, and profitability.”
- Customer Insights:
- Prompt: “Gather insights on what customers are currently looking for in [your industry]. Include analysis of social media, review sites, and recent consumer surveys.”
- Investment and Funding:
- Prompt: “Identify potential investors or funding sources for a startup in [your industry]. Include details on their investment criteria, past investments, and contact information.”
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Prompt: “Summarize current regulations affecting [your industry] in [country/region] and forecast any upcoming changes that might impact business operations.”
- Innovation and R&D:
- Prompt: “Research advancements in technologies relevant to [your product/service]. Provide case studies of their application in similar businesses.”
Remember! The more detailed your prompt, the better the results. In testing, a basic prompt searched 32 sites, while a detailed prompt analyzed 77 sites. That’s the difference between surface-level insights and genuine depth.

2. Check out Wispr Flow
I’ve been using Wispr Flow (https://www.flowvoice.ai/), and honestly, it’s a game-changer for productivity. This tool lets you dictate text across any app on your computer, making everything from emails to project notes, to texting three times faster than typing. I’m currently at 137 WPM.
Best way I can describe it is like having a personal assistant that understands your tone and adapts to how you communicate, whether it’s professional or casual. I’m saving hours each week because I can just speak my thoughts, and it turns them into well-structured text without me having to lift a finger for typing. It’s seriously cutting down my work time and boosting my efficiency like nothing else.
I know that some of you are already using this tool, but here’s a quick video demonstration.
Give those tools a try, and let me know what you think.
Next time, I’ll likely include some interesting business opportunities I’m seeing in the market. Remember though – I’m only sharing what I believe will actually move the needle for you.
Until next week,
Mike
P.S. If you know someone who you want me to include in these emails, let me know who they are and I’ll add them. I want to keep this small and valuable for everyone here. The goal is simple: I’ll push you, you push me, and we all grow together.
