Hey Friends,
Hope you had a great week. The AI landscape had some insane updates that could seriously change your business game overnight.
My goal, as always, is to help separate the signal from the noise and make sure you can take some of these developments and incorporate them into your business.
Let's cut through the hype and get to what actually matters to you.

HEYGEN AVATAR IV: ONE PHOTO TURNS YOU INTO A VIDEO SUPERSTAR

Remember HeyGen? I've mentioned them in previous emails and was actually a beta tester for these guys. Well, they just launched Avatar IV, and it's absolutely INCREDIBLE.
This update is pure digital sorcery. Upload a single photo of yourself (or anyone), and it creates a hyper-realistic talking avatar that moves, emotes, and presents like the real deal.
Watch this video:

The quality jump here is MASSIVE. We're not talking about those janky avatars from a year ago. These look like you sat down and recorded a professional video. The expressions, the lip sync, the natural movement – it's all there.
Why this actually matters: Think about your current content production bottlenecks. How much time do you spend recording and re-recording videos? How many sales opportunities are you missing because you can't personally reach out to every lead?
This tool lets you:
  • Create personalized video messages at scale (imagine sending 1,000 "personalized" sales videos in a day)
  • Record once, translate into multiple languages with perfect sync
  • Build a content library that can be updated without reshooting
The ROI math is simple: If you're spending more than a few hours a month creating video content, this pays for itself almost immediately.
Try it: Hit up HeyGen.com, upload a photo of yourself, and prepare to be blown away. Then imagine how your customers will react to getting a "personal" video from you instead of another boring email.

GOOGLE GEMINI 2.5 PRO I/O: YOUR NEW CODING SUPERPOWER

Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro I/O just claimed the #1 spot on the WebDev Arena leaderboard, crushing everything else in coding capabilities.
This isn't just another "AI that writes code" announcement. This thing is building functional, complex applications with minimal guidance. We're talking about creating entire web apps from a simple prompt.
The real-world examples I'm seeing are mind-blowing:
  • Sketch-to-App Wizardry: Developers are uploading hand-drawn UI sketches and getting back FULLY FUNCTIONAL web apps with clean CSS, JavaScript animations, and responsive layouts. Draw it, get it.
  • 30-Second Game Development: Someone created an entire endless runner game with pixelated dinosaurs from a single prompt. Complete, playable game in under 30 seconds. No game dev experience required.
  • Video-to-Learning Conversion: It can watch a YouTube tutorial and generate an interactive learning app with quizzes and exercises. Content creators, pay attention here.
  • Entire Codebase Analysis: With its massive 1-million token context window, it can analyze up to 30,000 lines of code in one go, identifying architectural issues and suggesting scalability improvements.
  • Visual Simulations: Developers are creating complex mathematical visualizations like Mandelbrot sets or particle animations with simple prompts. The visual quality is production-level.
Why this actually matters: Development costs and timelines have long been the biggest barriers to digital innovation for small to mid-sized businesses. This changes that equation dramatically.
The real value here:
  • Build MVPs in days instead of months
  • Slash dev costs by having AI handle the heavy lifting
  • Iterate quickly without blowing your budget
  • Create internal tools that would normally be "nice to have but too expensive"
The businesses that jump on this will gain a massive execution advantage. While your competitors are stuck in development hell for 6 months, you could be on version 3.0 of your product.
Try it: If you've got a side project or a business idea that's been sitting on the back burner because of development costs, now's the time to dust it off.

OPENAI'S $3B WINDSURF ACQUISITION: THE AI CODING ARMS RACE IS ON

OpenAI just dropped $3 BILLION to acquire Windsurf (better known as Codeium), making their biggest strategic move yet in the AI coding space.
This isn't just another tech acquisition – it's a declaration of intent. OpenAI is going all-in on making coding AI their next frontier after text and images.
Why this actually matters: When the biggest player in AI makes a move this significant, it accelerates everything. Expect massive improvements in coding capabilities across the board as competitors rush to keep up.
For your business, this means:
  • More powerful, accessible development tools within months, not years
  • New opportunities to automate technical work that currently requires specialized engineers
  • The ability to maintain and evolve complex codebases without expanding your tech team
Keep an eye on: What OpenAI announces in the next 60 days. This acquisition wasn't just for show – they'll be integrating these capabilities fast.

MIKE'S TIME TO NERD OUT: MOMENTUM BEATS DIRECTION - BUILD NOW, LEARN AS YOU GO

I got an email this week that hit me like a ton of bricks, and I HAVE to share it with you guys because it's probably the most important business advice you'll get all year.
Here's the brutal truth: most of us are caught in the "learning trap".
What do I mean? Take a hard look at your calendar from last week:
  • How many meetings did you sit in discussing "potential strategies"?
  • How many hours did you spend "planning" your next move?
  • How many times did you say "We should do X someday"?
  • How many courses did you buy to "prepare" for execution?
Now ask yourself: What did you actually BUILD in that same time?
The uncomfortable reality is that what most of us call "learning" is just procrastination wearing a fancy suit. And the worst part? It FEELS productive. That's why it's so dangerous.
Let me share something I strongly believe in: MOMENTUM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN DIRECTION IN THE BEGINNING.
This runs counter to everything we're taught. We think we need the perfect plan, the perfect roadmap, the perfect understanding before we start. But that's wrong in many cases.
When you're sitting in those endless planning meetings or "aligning on strategy," you're burning your most precious resource – time – while getting zero momentum.
Here's why momentum matters more:
  • The road reveals itself as you move, not before
  • You discover opportunities you couldn't see from the starting line
  • Problems that seemed huge often disappear once you're in motion
  • Real feedback comes from action, not planning
I've seen this play out hundreds of times with entrepreneurs. The ones who win aren't the ones with the perfect plan – they're the ones who started building while everyone else was still planning.
Real learning doesn't happen from passive consumption or endless planning. Real learning happens when you:
  • Build something that breaks, then fix it
  • Launch something imperfect, then improve it
  • Hit problems that no tutorial prepared you for
  • Get real feedback from real customers
Here's the mindset shift that's changed everything for me: Flip the 80/20 ratio.
  • Most people: 80% planning/learning, 20% building
  • Winners: 20% planning/learning, 80% building
I've applied this to every part of my business. Instead of spending months researching AI tools, I just start using them in real projects. Yes, I hit roadblocks. Yes, it gets messy. But the momentum carries me through, and the learning is 10X deeper because it's tied to actual results.
All these tools I've shared today? I didn't just read about them. I've been building with them, breaking things, figuring out workarounds, and discovering use cases that no one is talking about yet.
So here's my challenge to you:
  1. This week, cancel ONE planning meeting and use that time to actually build something
  1. Take ONE AI tool from this email and implement it in your business today – not next quarter
  1. Push through the discomfort of not having a perfect plan
  1. Ship something by Friday, even if it's just a prototype
Remember: You learn as you DO, not before you do. The path becomes clear once you're moving, not while you're standing still.
That's it for this week! Let me know what you're building and the momentum you're gaining.
Mike

PS: Want add someone cool to this email list? Just let me know and I'll do it!
PPS: Remember this is a two-way street. If you're getting value, pay the tax. Text me, call me, email me with cool things you're seeing. I want to learn from YOU. Share challenges you're facing as well as your wins. The best stuff I share often comes from you guys. This isn't a monologue - it's a conversation between winners.
